I started my first business venture by renting a space in an apartment above an art studio three times a week. I remember sitting there class after class where nobody would show up thinking to myself, "Someday I'm gonna remember all these times I showed up and nobody came. Someday this will be a memory and things will be different." I was too scared to get on Google, because, what if people actually showed up? What if so many people showed up I had to turn them away? Funny right? As I sit there day after day with no show classes. I even thought clients would flood in off of one Instagram post and a few hashtags.

Why was I holding myself back?
What was I afraid of?
My imposter syndrome was an expression of self sabotage.

Two years later, I had upgraded my space twice, found a business mentor, partnered with other businesses, got myself on Google, opened my own studio, began co-facilitating yoga teacher trainings, and sold out my classes consistently.

I also—--
learned a LOT of things the hard way, made U-turns, went in reverse, and took detours which sometimes just felt like endless circles. I learned hard lessons, made many mistakes, focused too much on what everyone else was doing, got stuck in a scarcity mindset, struggled to manage people, people pleased, upset people, and considered burning my business to the ground more than once.

And I'd do it all over again.

All of the beauty and hardship that has come from owning a business has been the biggest blessing I could have asked for. It hasn't been easy, and any entrepreneur will tell you that this isn't for the faint of heart.

Fast forward again, now, I teach all over Northern Colorado hosting sound baths, yoga classes, Somatic Breathwork journeys, and Cacao ceremonies. I've created my own Yin Yoga Teacher Training Program, launched a women’s membership, and lead sold out retreats around the globe.

I not only have a beautiful business, but I have a beautiful life.
I have built a heart led mission that molds perfectly into the lifestyle I desire. One that allows me to travel, work when I want, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, has brought some of the most amazing souls into my life. WanderLotus has become something so much greater than a pretty logo and a woman behind the name.

It is its own living, breathing entity that is ALIVE.
A beautiful co-creation of humans who are relentlessly showing up and DOING. THE. WORK.
A story of someone who showed up to a yoga class only to find out that they were sitting on the beach in Costa Rica with three new best friends and now they catch a movie while their kids play on a random Tuesday in July years later.
